While human ancestors first appeared 5 to 7 million years ago, Earth formed 4.5 billion years before our arrival. Permanence explores the places that existed long before us and will continue to persist after our departure, albeit in an altered state. In my adolescence, occupying these spaces transformed my understanding of my presence on this planet and strengthened my connection with all beings. This work serves as a tribute to the Earth and the biodiversity with whom we share our home.
